Reviews for Auto Ventshade 194155 Ventvisor Smoke Window Deflector - 4 Piece (Automotive) As usual Amazon's price was cheaper and they delivered the product in two days, Amazon also placed the retail packaging in a very large shipping box to prevent damage.
The Auto Ventshade model 194155 fit perfectly in my 2011-F150-Lariat-Super Crew. I really like the looks of the in-channel deflectors. Installation took all of 15 minutes, the included clips that are used to apply pressure inside of the window channel to the back of the deflector seem to work very well. Only one issue, as other reviewers have pointed out, the auto up feature on the windows hits the plastic clip and will reverse, I found that if I held the window button the window grudgingly passed the clips. I will remove the clips tomorrow (per the instructions) after the adhesive tape has a chance to set up. I removed one star because the deflectors were covered with left over plastic shavings from the manufacturing process I guess.
Reviews for Auto Ventshade 194155 Ventvisor Smoke Window Deflector - 4 Piece (Automotive) Fairly easy to install and they look nice but the fit is really tight on 2011 F150 Super Crew. It's been a month or so since installing and the auto-up feature still stops and reverses down about 1 out of 10 times for both front windows due to how tightly they fit. I re-installed the black clips again for a couple more days to see it that would help but it's still about the same. Hopefully it will eventually get broken in enought so it doesn't do it. Good quality otherwise.
Reviews for Auto Ventshade 194155 Ventvisor Smoke Window Deflector - 4 Piece (Automotive) On my 2002 Explorer I had the ventshade model that stuck to the outside of the door frame. They came off after several years, then the strips were a MAJOR pain to clean off. This model slides inside the window track and the adhesive strips hold them there. They are a snug fit, it takes some bending of the ventshade to get it into position. My set of these included a plastic "clip" that is designed to press the front end towards the outside of the door frame. These clips interfere with my window; when I roll up the electric window it hits the clip and the window automatically rolls back down. I have to "sneak" the window past the clip to close it. By going slowly I can get past this clip and fully close my window. I have not yet taken the clips off to see if everything will be OK... maybe I'll do that today. If, or when I do, I'll update my review to let you know if it stops the window interference. Or if other problems develop...
Overall, I am happy with these and do recommend them. In fact I bought a set for my dad's 2003 Honda Odyssey. He loves them. I would buy them for my wife's Mustang... but it's a convertible.
I DO NOT recommend the model that sticks to the outside of the door frame.
7-5-2011 UPDATE: I removed the clips. My windows now work perfectly, they go up all the way without stopping.
